Marshall

Marshall played professional football for the Indianapolis Colts in the 1970s. His playing weight was 190 lbs. and Marshall said he always wanted to be a more substantial 200 lbs., but with so much time spent practicing, he couldn’t put on the weight. Now, at 228 lbs., he’s trying to get back down to that ever-elusive 200-lb. mark.

He put the weight on gradually after he stopped playing football professionally, “excusing the pounds away bit by bit.”

Now, as a father to three sons and grandfather to four grandsons, Marshall’s game plan is focused on wanting to be around for the important moments in their lives.

“One of my strongest motivations for losing weight is just having the quality of life. I know the person that I can be and I know the person I was before weight was a concern.”

He is optimistic that he will look back at the A New Way to a New You program as a turning point in his life and expects to have recaptured a better sense of self, more energy, and drive after the 12 weeks are over.

“I am so overjoyed right now just envisioning that accomplishment.”
