Liz is focused on making healthy changes so that she can set a healthy example for her four-year-old daughter Nyomi.
“My weight has never stopped me from doing anything, but I’ve never been where I wanted to be physically.”
She said her own battles with weight impacted her self-esteem in junior high and she doesn’t want her daughter to go through a similar experience. She said she’s amazed that at such a young age, her daughter already takes cues from her mom’s behavior, good and bad.
“I want to change my lifestyle and I want to be a role model for my daughter. I’m excited that I’m setting that pattern for her.”
At 209 lbs., Liz has specific weight loss goals, but she said going through the A New Way to a New You program has taught her that focusing on health is the ultimate priority.
“When you work on being a healthier you, then your body goes to the weight it needs to go to.”
